Timecard Calculator
Hours worked, overtime and pay from start and end times. Change the numbers and the result updates instantly.
How it works
Enter your start and end time, unpaid break, days worked and hourly rate. The calculator shows hours per day and per week, and pays hours over 40 a week at time and a half, the federal overtime rule for most hourly workers. Some states add daily overtime.
Example
Example: 9:00 to 17:30 with a 30-minute break is 8 hours a day, or 40 hours across 5 days, so no overtime. Add an extra day and the extra 8 hours are overtime hours.
Tips
- Change one input at a time to see what moves the result most.
- Use realistic rates. Check current averages before you decide.
- Results are estimates and do not replace advice from a licensed professional.
